Rupert Horst has always liked drawing, as well as playing his trombone. In 2003 these two passions joined together for the first time. He is a teacher and avid performer, playing for fun in brass and jazz bands, and professionallyin many other ensembles and orchestras. "During countless rehearsals and performances, as well as in long conversations with wood and brass players, you tend to notice the individual idiosyncracies of these fellows" he says. In noways is this meant as a criticism, quite the contrary. Taking these idiosyncracies, along with some self-mockery, he has put pen to paper to produce this entertaining hardback book of colourful cartoons and caricatures.
